E-Tourist is an integrated information system for registering and deregistering tourists, which functionally connects all stakeholders with an accent on tourist communities.
Information from the e-Tourist system is used by:
Providers of accommodation services
Tax Administration / Customs Administration
Ministry of Trade and Tourism
Ministry of the Interior
Ministry of Self-Governance
Ministry of European Integration
VISITOR REGISTRATION AND DEREGISTRATION
by accommodation provider through a desktop or web application. The end users of the tourist registration and deregistration information system are natural persons and legal entities acting as accommodation service providers. The information system allows independent visitor registration and deregistration at any time, resulting in an automated list of visitors at the level of each individual facility, i.e. individual accommodation provider.
RESIDENCE TAX CALCULATION AND COLLECTION CONTROL
based on entered visitor registrations and deregistrations and data on individual accommodation facility, the tourist registration and deregistration information system takes into account the parameters related to the category of tourist place, season duration and other elements relevant for the calculation and automatically calculates residence tax and matches the payments made with the debts thus calculating the current liability.
DATA COLLECTION AND PROCESSING
about accommodation providers and their accommodation capacities. All relevant information about the accommodation providers and their accommodation facilities (type, category, location, accommodation capacity) are entered in the information system for tourist registration and deregistration. For this reason, the tourist registration and deregistration information system is a unique and easy-to-search database of all accommodation providers, i.e. a single database of all accommodation facilities.
DATA PROCESSING AND ANALYSIS AND REAL-TIME REPORTING FOR STATISTICAL AND MARKETING PURPOSES
this enables monitoring tourist movement almost in real time, by one or more criteria such as visit duration, location, sex, age, country of residence etc., thus enabling tourist communities to implement marketing policies, and providing the public with current information on the movement of tourists. Additionally, access to the database is also granted to the Statistics Institute and other institutions to conduct further and more complex statistical and other analyses related to the tourism sector.
MUTUAL COOPERATION BETWEEN PUBLIC AUTHORITIES ON REGULATORY COMPLIANCE
by accessing the database, the information system for tourist registration and deregistration enables all interested public bodies (Tax/Customs Administration, Ministry of the Interior, Ministry of Self-Governance, Ministry of Trade and Tourism, Ministry of European Integration) to use the collected data for enforcement of their legal regulations, without additional administrative requests or barriers.
E-tourist, the tourist information system with its module also provides the possibility of connection with all the information systems in the country, which will provide an overview of the country’s tourist offer, thus enabling development of further marketing activities and creating new investment opportunities.
